A Letter From Diane Meiller-Cook

Dear DM&A community,

My heart is full of sorrow for the many who have unduly suffered directly or indirectly from systemic racism and injustice. I am devastated by the losses of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the thousands of others whose names we may not know. As the owner and CEO of Diane Meiller and Associates and on behalf of all our associates, we do not condone or tolerate racism in any form.

For all of us who have never been victims of racism, we do not know what it feels like. As a mother of three sons, I try and imagine what it must be like to be a mom of young black men and the constant fear that they will one day become the faces of victims of racial injustice. Those fears are the unfortunate reality for millions who include our colleagues, friends, neighbors, and family members. No mother or father should have to live with this fear, and no son or daughter should lose their life because of its reality.

DM&A stands in solidarity with the peaceful protests to cure the pandemic of racism and is committed to do our part in the collective effort to ensure a future of equality, respect, love, and dignity for all humanity now and forever.

With wishes for health and safety for all,

Diane Meiller-Cook
